Dr. Anat known as Anat Ben-Zvi, and currently as Anat Trarbach graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in English. She earned her master’s and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology from Long Island University in Brooklyn, and completed her clinical internship at Columbia New York Presbyterian Hospital. Anat was a postdoctoral fellow at the New York University Counseling Center for Behavioral Health, where she focused on issues pertaining to both undergraduate and graduate students, and specialized in the treatment of eating disorders. She then joined the NYU College of Arts and Science’s clinical counseling staff to help students address anxiety, depression and relationship issues. Most recently, Anat was supervising psychologist and team leader at the Columbus Park Collaborative (an eating disorders day treatment program), supervisor of doctoral candidate students at LIU, and intake Coordinator at the Low-fee Referral Service of the C.G. Jung Institute of NY.  She is trained in  AEDP (Accelerated, Experiential Dynamic psychotherapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy).

    My Therapy Style:

My style is interactive- I respond to you with my whole being, working to offer you a new experience of interaction that is meaningful, and accepting of different parts of yourself, even ones that you find objectionable.

I draw on empirically validated tools such as CBT, EMDR, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and mindfulness-based therapies, applying them within a psychodynamic frame as well as Jungian lens.

For parenting coaching, I draw on my training through Hand in Hand parenting, my knowledge of child psychology and attachment theory, and personal parenting experience to support your parenting.

Finally, I bring my experience in both the arts (music and painting) and meditation and non-dual awareness to my clinical work to deepen both creative and emotional expression.
